A great first day of VBS! We learned about Joseph's coat of many colors, shared stories of times we were jealous, and got to make our own "coats" of many colors!

Our amazing youth group is on its way back from a week at The Pittsburgh Project, where they helped a woman with disabilities regain pride in her home. They painted an entire bedroom, stained a deck, sealed a leak that was destroying one of her walls, repairing, spackling and painting that wall, repairing concrete steps into her home, painting a bathroom ceiling, and recaulking her tub. Just as importantly, each youth also took time to connect with her and affirm her worth.

Our Youth Group is on its way for a productive and exciting week at The Pittsburgh Project!

I'll be referencing the movie Caddyshack, and we will be reciting a classic benediction from Father Guido Sarducci. What church needs is more references from former Saturday Night Live stars and their movies!

All who remember Ben Dickerson and Ellen See will be saddened to hear that Ben died February 18 of complications from the rare genetic condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Ben's life will be celebrated at a memorial service Saturday, March 30 at 2pm at Christ Church United Methodist Church in Fair Haven, NJ. Rev. Rusty Eidmann-Hicks will be presiding over the service.
